A rare opportunity has arisen for a Grounds Maintenance Operative. We are seeking an exceptional team-orientated person to join a well-established mobile ground maintenance team engaged on a variety of horticultural maintenance activities in parks, open spaces and other leisure sites across Adur and Worthing.
It is essential that you hold a current driving licence as you will be required to drive vehicles and mowing equipment on the highway as part of the role. You will be responsible for operating a variety of Grounds Maintenance equipment and hand held power tools and will usually work as part of a mobile grounds maintenance team maintaining sites across Adur and Worthing but you will also work on your own on occasions.
The successful applicant will receive on the job training and guidance on the various powered machinery operated and will be expected to work outdoors throughout the seasons. You will have a demonstrable ‘can do’ attitude and take a pride in the work that we do. You will be able to demonstrate high standards of behaviour and professionalism in dealing with the public.
