Duties of the post:

Are you a motivated and caring individual who has what it takes to make a difference for individuals at risk of homelessness across Worthing Borough and Adur District?

Educated to at least NVQ Level 2, or with equivalent experience – professional, practical or lived, you will have a real understanding of the causes of homelessness and best practice in preventing homelessness, as well as an good working knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation.  You will also have experience of effectively managing a caseload in order to effectively enact Prevention and Relief Duties under the Homelessness Reduction Act.

You will have the diverse skills needed to build relationships with individuals with complex needs and to negotiate innovative solutions with agencies, landlords, private, voluntary and public sector services in order to prevent and alleviate housing need. You will need to work flexibly with established partners in Social Services, Jobcentre Plus, Registered Social Landlords and local homeless charities.
