Leisure Attendant

Salary: From £18,246 to £19,171 per annum

Grade: Grade 2

Hours: 37 hours per week

Place of Work : Parks and Foreshore Offices, Commerce Way, Lancing

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Leisure Attendant within our Parks Ranger team to help support the management and maintenance of our Parks, Open spaces, and Foreshore areas working with volunteers and community groups on site throughout the year. 

You will be a helping to inspect and maintain children’s play areas and fitness equipment and deliver/collect materials and equipment in support of our grounds maintenance teams. You will also undertake a variety of repairs to our parks infrastructure including fences, gates, and undertake exterior decorating tasks.

The successful candidate will be numerate and literate and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, local communities, contractors and volunteers working on our sites. You will be required to meet with prospective Allotment and Beach Hut tenants and be expected to produce water and electricity meter readings across our sites, meeting utility companies on site as necessary.

It is essential that you hold a full driving licence with B+E entitlement as a minimum and have a sound understanding of working with hand and small hand held power tools
