HGV Mechanic

Post No: 8035

Salary: Starting from £24,313 - £28,785 p.a. (Grade 5)

Hours: 37 hours per week (Permanent)

Place of Work: Transport Workshops, Commerce Way Depot, Lancing Business Park, Lancing

Closing date:28th June 2019

We are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to work in our busy transport workshop maintaining the council’s fleet of vehicles and plant. The successful applicant must have the necessary knowledge and skills to maintain a wide range of vehicles and plant including refuse and recycling trucks, vans and various types of plant machinery.

You must be qualified to City & Guilds or NVQ standard in vehicle repairs and maintenance.

A category C HGV driving licence with no more than three penalty points is desirable but not essential.

Practical experience in the Municipal vehicle maintenance sector is also desirable but not essential.
