Assistant Support Officer

Salary: Starting from £12,947 to £14,015 per annum (Grade 3)

Hours: 24.5 hours per week

Closing Date: 18th June 2019

Adur and Worthing Councils place the customer at the very heart of their business and are committed to the communities we represent.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional and confident person who enjoys working in a busy environment and who thrives on providing great customer service.

This is a 1st line customer service and administration role and you’ll be part of a small team that looks after our Commercial Customer base directly, but you’ll also working with other Council departments often. Therefore, you will need an ability to confidently handle telephone calls and written correspondence regarding Council business and to use IT systems to resolve customer enquiries effectively. 

Previous customer service experience would be useful, but training will be given.

From time to time, you will be approached for input when we are looking to improve services, so the right applicant will be comfortable in actively assisting in continual service improvement work.

You must be able to work a 24.5 hour week and be based at Commerce Way, Lancing, Monday to Friday.
