Duties of the post:

The post holder will be required to cover the emptying of litter bins and collection of litter in Adur & Worthing and will also be required to carry out other cleansing duties, ensuring at all times that a quality service is provided.

Ideally, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of working in waste management, and to demonstrate the following:

Essential:

  • A knowledge of local authority refuse, recycling and cleansing operations
  • Working knowledge of the relevant sections of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
  • Have an understanding of Performance, Risk and Reputation Management

Desirable:

  • A knowledge of the local area
