Senior Building Control Inspector

Grade: Grade 7

Hours: 14.8 hours per week 

Place of work: Based at Worthing Town Hall with the opportunity for home working

Worthing and Adur is a rapidly developing area and we are seeing an increase in high quality construction and investment. 

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated, experienced Building Control Inspector to join our partnership. You will need to be registered with the Building Safety Regulator as level 2 a-d (as a minimum covering domestic work and low rise commercial properties) and work under e - f and above under supervision if required. 

Experience of using Uniform is essential as use of this system is integral to undertaking the duties of the role.

You will be joining a dynamic service and will have the opportunity to use your excellent communication skills to ensure full compliance with the building regulations whilst working in a fantastic coastal area. 

Main duties of the role include delivery of the council's service for building control  including application processing, issuing of decisions, site inspections, enforcement and dealing with dangerous structures and demolition notices.
