Duties of the post:
We are looking to recruit an experienced CCAB or CIMA qualified Group Accountant to lead our Strategic Finance Team. The main duties of the post holder will be to manage the operation of an experienced Treasury Management team and Insurance team who provide services to 5 local Councils.
We are looking for an accountant with experience of strategic finance, particularly treasury, closure of accounts and statutory financial reporting but also someone with a drive to find service and process improvements, with the skills and desire to maximise the use of technology.
The post holder will have the ability to work as a team and show the necessary enthusiasm required to fulfil this role to its optimum. Excellent management and communication skills are required with the ability to build relationships at all levels. Confidence to exercise your own initiative and the ability to influence decision making is also key.
This is an exciting opportunity in a much-varied role. We are looking for a fast thinking and experienced individual who will be a significant member of our Finance Team.
