Homelessness Intervention and Prevention Officer (Job Share) 

Salary: Starting From £17,781 to £20,279 Per annum

Grade: Grade 6

Hours: 22.2 hours per week (3 days)

Place of work: Portland House, Worthing

Closing date: 15th October 2021

Duties of the post:

This is a permanent post offered as a job share.  The current post holder can be flexible with days to suit the needs of the applicant.

This is a great opportunity to join Adur and Worthing Councils homelessness services who deliver a service that is robust and sensitive to the needs of those who find themselves faced with homelessness. We are looking to welcome an officer that not only has experience of fulfilling statutory duties under the Homeless Reduction Act, but one who is enthusiastic and compassionate to the needs of clients who will often experience complex and multiple needs. 

Educated to at least Level 2, or with equivalent experience, you will have a high level of understanding of the causes of homelessness and best practice in preventing homelessness, as well as an excellent working knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation.
