Duties of the post:

The Payroll Officer is part of the small and friendly Payroll Team based in Worthing Town Hall.

You will support the processing of the monthly payrolls by gathering and processing payroll information in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with the Council’s policies and procedures. Training on the Council's payroll systems will be provided.

The applicant should have some experience of payroll processing and a detailed knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance and other statutory deductions. You should have a high level of numeracy.

The Council will support professional training in a payroll qualification if you are interested in developing your career further.
