Salary: Starting From £22,183 to £24,491 Per annum 

Temporary contract (until 31st March 2022) 

Grade: Grade 4

Hours: 37 hours per week 

Place of work: Worthing Town Hall (currently working from home due to Covid restrictions)

This HR department is looking for an experienced HR / payroll professional to join our friendly, busy team to provide HR coordination support and administration.

This role would suit somebody who has had some previous experience in HR or Payroll at a junior level and who is looking to further develop their HR knowledge. 

Experience within the payroll environment is desirable.

We are looking for a competent and confident HR Coordinator to support the rest of the HR department with a variety of duties.

If you are a well-organised individual with excellent admin, problem solving and systems skills - with a particular competency in extracting data, analysis of reporting, data manipulation etc.,  we need you. You will also be a competent user of different Information systems and be able to provide a customer focused HR service. Previous working knowledge in HR, strong systems experience and administration will be essential for this role.

We are looking for someone with the ability to prioritise their work, work under pressure and be a team player. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to respect the confidential nature of the work.

The role will include providing a comprehensive service for processing contractual changes for employees, updating payroll with monthly payroll changes, providing calculations on annual leave and any monies owed/to be reclaimed and advising staff on national terms and conditions of employment, central government directives and council policy and practice and therefore this post plays a key role within the HR team.
