Duties of the post:

This is an excellent opportunity to join our Finance team in delivering a quality finance service, combining management accounting with a business focused support for frontline services. 

You will need a positive attitude and willingness to achieve service improvements and efficiencies, to achieve the challenging times ahead in Local Government.  

You will play a lead role in providing advice and analysis for all aspects of monitoring, budget setting, commercial appraisals and advice, as well as the closure of accounts, including the best use of our financial systems and technologies for a specified Directorate.

Ideally, with experience of local government finance.

You will have an analytic approach in evaluating business proposals, have excellent communications skills and be able to build effective relationships at all levels. Personally, you will be adaptable and self-motivated, a good team player and be able to prioritise work and delegate appropriately to meet tight deadlines. You will have effective verbal and written communication skills and preferably some management experience.
